How to Be a Sponsor of This Program
Interested in bringing our program to high schools in your area? Then sign up as a volunteer sponsor of the NEFE High School Financial Planning Program® (HSFPP)!
In addition to the 100 or so professionals who compose the NEFE HSFPP National Network, our program is promoted, supported, and championed by people just like you.
Some of our sponsors are interested in teaching the program in schools themselves. Others are content to introduce the program to schools and let the professional educators on staff do the job. And a few others jointly teach the program with the classroom teacher.
Maybe you’re a teacher who has taught the program. Maybe you’re an insurance agent who has spoken to a class about how policy premiums figure into their personal finances. Or maybe you’re a bus driver whose teen daughter benefited so much from the NEFE HSFPP that you want to ensure that other teens have the same opportunity.
Our sponsors come from all walks of life. If you have a command of these materials, are a skilled teacher, and are dedicated to helping teens in your local high school become savvy about managing their money, you’re halfway there!
The other half involves learning more about our program. To do that, follow these easy steps:
- Order an Information Kit. This kit contains a copy of our Student Guide, a sample of the Instructor’s Manual, and a brochure with more details about the program for you to review. You’ll learn about the need for the program, as well as the benefits it offers.
- View our short online video program. It’s located on the homepage of this Web site. It profiles a young adult whose life was changed by the NEFE HSFPP. You also may want to check out the student and parent portals on this Web site.
- Attend a free train-the-trainer or train-the teacher session. If you have plans to teach in the classroom, we strongly recommend you attend a teacher training program. If there isn’t one happening in your area in the near future, be sure to watch the online video training program on the Web site (once you have your password access). To find out about training sessions in your area, contact your state representatives.[D: Make this hot to list of state reps]
- Sign up as a sponsor at the main login page. You’ll be asked to provide some information about yourself, including your address, phone number, and E-mail address. Once your registration is approved, you’ll have access to even more resources and information to help you promote the program.
